Is venison healthy for dogs?
Fine game meat, such as venison, is low in fat and full of important nutrients. The high-quality proteins and low fat content make our venison snackies an easily digestible snack, especially for older dogs, four-legged friends with a lower calorie requirement and allergy sufferers.
Venison is full of high-quality proteins and provides valuable minerals such as zinc, selenium and iron. These are important for many bodily functions and some of them cannot be produced by the dog itself. It is therefore particularly important to supply zinc through food, as a deficiency can quickly lead to health problems. Iron is also important, as it is necessary for the transportation of oxygen in the blood, among other things. As venison is easily digestible and hypoallergenic, even dogs with food sensitivities can tolerate this snack.
